How to Set Up Direct Deposit  

Every employer or payer has a different process, but these steps stay the same:

  1. Gather your bank account number and routing number
  2. Complete the direct deposit form from your employer or payer
  3. Submit the form 
  4. Check your account to confirm your deposit arrived

Need to split your deposit between accounts or specify an account type? Contact your payer directly for help.

Direct deposit usually takes up to two pay cycles to start. For specific timing, contact your employer or payer.

Find your routing and account number in the Mobile Banking App* or on your checks (bottom left corner). Your account number doesn't appear on debit or credit cards. For more details, call us at (800) 749-7113.

What will I need to enroll in direct deposit for checks issued by the U.S. Treasury?

To enroll for direct deposit, you will be asked to provide your:

  • Social Security number
  • Information from your most recent federal benefit check or claim number
  • Great Southern Bank's routing number (286573322)
  • Your active checking or savings account number
  • The account type; please indicate Checking, even if you are providing a Great Southern Bank savings account number
