The Basics
Contactless Cards
- Look for the contactless symbol on the payment terminal. The four curved lines that appear on your debit card should also appear on contactless-enabled card readers.
- When prompted, tap or hold your debit card one to two inches away from the front of the terminal.
- If your purchase is approved, you'll receive confirmation from the reader - typically a beep, green light or check mark.
Fraud Watch
If a debit card transaction appears potentially fraudulent, you will be contacted via email followed by a text message and a phone call shortly thereafter. Your prompt response to any of these notifications helps ensure that you don't experience a service disruption with your debit card. If the transaction in question was you, reply yes and you can continue using your debit card. If it was not you, reply no and you'll need to speak with a Fraud Prevention specialist. If you do not respond, your card may be deactivated until we hear from you.
Please note that phone calls and texts will only occur between 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. based on your area code.
Please visit the Banking Center nearest you to begin the dispute process and obtain a replacement debit card. We can print your new debit card in our office and it will be available for use before you leave the office.
If you aren’t nearby a Great Southern Bank location, please contact our Debit Card Services Department at 800-749-7113 to request a new debit card be mailed to you.
Unsubscribing from Fraud Watch notification will not remove your Great Southern Debit Card from the Fraud Watch system.
