Bill and Ann Turner Distinguished Community Service Award
Great Southern Bank’s annual Bill and Ann Turner Distinguished Community Service Award was created to emphasize the importance placed on volunteerism at Great Southern Bank by honoring one outstanding associate who demonstrates excellence in volunteer service to their community. Associates throughout the Company have the opportunity to nominate coworkers they believe are worthy of this honor. A committee comprised of community leaders review the nominations and select an annual recipient. On the winner’s behalf, Great Southern Bank donates $1,500 to their charity of choice.
2026 Award Recipient: Harlie Koth
The 2026 Bill and Ann Turner Distinguished Community Service Award recognizes an individual whose unwavering commitment and selfless leadership have left an indelible mark on our community. This year, we proudly honor Harlie Koth—someone whose dedication, generosity, and compassion have touched countless lives across Stone County and beyond.
For over a decade, Harlie has served as an ambassador for the Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce. She is the helping hand behind the scenes at countless events: from setting up golf carts and delivering lunches at the annual tournament to organizing the Lake Splash Gala and stuffing vacation guides throughout the year. Harlie’s presence is felt at Chamber luncheons, ribbon cuttings, and every community gathering where a warm smile and hard work are needed.
Harlie’s commitment to young people shines through in her 10 years as a board member of The Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks, where she also serves on the finance committee. She volunteers tirelessly at fundraising events, ensuring that local youth have a safe and supportive environment to grow. Her compassion extends to animals as a dedicated board member and hands-on volunteer at the Tri-Lakes Humane Society, helping with fundraising, shelter renovations, and even kennel cleaning.
Whether picking up trash during the H2Ozarks annual shoreline clean-up, collecting toys and organizing care packages for Unite Table Rock Lake, or providing relief when disaster strikes, Harlie’s generosity knows no bounds. She’s a familiar face at food drives, Senior Center bingo days, and the Southern Stone County Fire District’s annual Chili Cook-Off, where she serves up homemade chili to benefit the fire auxiliary. Her giving spirit extends to the Elks Lodge, where she shops for and delivers gifts and food baskets to families in need during the holidays.
Harlie leads by example—not only by volunteering but also by inspiring her staff, friends, and family to join her in service. Her work with Junior Achievement, teaching life skills and financial literacy to preschoolers, reflects her passion for empowering the next generation.
