Community matters a lot to us, and we know that it means a lot to you, too.
It means building on good relationships and creating new ones.
It means helping each other. It means working together to overcome obstacles
as well as achieving new opportunities. We consider all Great Southern
communities part of our extended family, so we do what we can to help where we are.

Community development works best when it can be supported through traditional banking products and delivery channels. We focus on providing consumers and businesses access to capital, which is essential for our communities to grow and thrive.
We believe in the good work that nonprofit organizations accomplish for individuals in times of great need. That’s why we choose to financially support their efforts, investing hundreds of thousands of dollars each year in nonprofit organizations through sponsorships and charitable grants.
Our associate’s actions reflect their community spirit. Thousands of hours are spent mentoring, teaching, leading and sometimes, sweating, as they work to make their communities better. Our Company supports these efforts by offering associates at all levels paid time off to get out of the office and spend time volunteering for a cause that they are passionate about. Visit our Volunteerism page to learn more.
At Great Southern, we believe that banking and education go hand in hand. From the first connection with our customers, we are their financial educators; listening to their needs, and then guiding them through options to determine what works best for their lifestyle and financial security. Financial education extends into the community. Our associates are lending their financial expertise volunteering to help children, teens, adults and seniors as well as small businesses learn about many aspects of money management and banking.
